Los Angeles police say, there was a pedestrian walking in the Venice Boulevard and Shell Avenue area when he was hit by a car and he fell.
Other passengers tried to warn the other driver but he also collided with pedestrians. Police say the second collision was fatal, both drivers were present at the scene.
Captain of the Los Angeles Police Department said,” the westbound car did not see it and collided and it went down,” Brain Wandlling. ” Another vehicle was going up and people tried to slow it down and then they saw it then another traffic collision and it was a fatal one.”
Police did not identify the passers-by, but a friend of the veteran actor who witnessed the collision confirmed to Eyewitness News that Bean was hit and killed.
Investigators say the initial indication was that it was just a tragic accident, It looks like Ben came from between two cars while he was crossing the road and the driveway did not see him.
Bean made more than 100 appearances in television and film in an acting career that spanned back to the 1950s.
