PLEASANTVILLE, Iowa-Fire crews are on the scene of a church fire at Pleasantville that Monday morning.
The Marion County Sheriff’s Office confirms multiple fire departments are on scene at 308 W. Dallas St. in Pleasantville, battling flames at the Pleasantville Christian Church.
Video of our on-scene staff shows that most of the church’s roof has collapsed.
Donald Naftz Rev News Channel told Thornton that he woke up at 5. 15 o; clock in the morning with the sound of breaking glass and noticed that fireworks were coming in the back of the church. He phoned 911 and said he wants out where he found another person outside the church who had also called 911.
The 120-year-old church is being renovated, Naftz said. Which is the heart of this community?
