Simone Biles, winner of four-time Olympic gold medal, spoke to CNN reporters on Wednesday. Biles that that it was an on-going struggle to practice her sport for someone who had failed to protect her.

The USA Gymnastics had failed miserably to protect her and many others from Larry Nassar’s abuse.

“You had one job. You literally had one job and you couldn’t protect us,” she said of USA Gymnastics.

Speaking to some reporters after her training session in Kansas City, Missouri she lamented about the USA Gymnastics negligence.

In January, Biles had tweeted that she and many other athletes had been sexually abused by the former USA Gymnastics and Michigan State University doctor.

Larry Nassar has been charged with child pornography and criminal sexual conduct. Almost above 150 women and girls have testified against him saying that they had been sexually abused by him for more than the past two decades.

Asked about her recent tweet Biles said that there were many institutions that could have stopped Nassar.

“The more I learn, the more I hurt. USAG failed us. USOC failed us. Many failed us. And they continued to fail us,” Biles tweeted.
Speaking to the reporters  that the air of deep distrust that the Nissar scandal has evoked has made it difficult for her to see the doctors and therapists.
Biles told reporters that she struggles to take care of herself and see the doctors and therapists associated with the organization because of the deep distrust sowed by the Nassar scandal.
”It’s hard coming here for an organization, having had them fail us so many times,” Biles said. “We had one goal. We have done everything that they asked us for, even when we didn’t want to, and they couldn’t do one damn job.”
The organization assured Biles that they supported her and had learned from the mistakes they made in the past.
“We at USA Gymnastics have made a lot of progress in strengthening our athlete safety measures and putting our athletes first, but we know we have more to do,”¬†Li Li Leung, the president and chief executive of USA Gymnastics, told CNN.
“One of our goals is for our athletes to feel comfortable in speaking up and sharing their opinions, and we are listening to what they have to say. We will continue to work hard to demonstrate to Simone and all of our athletes, members, community and fans that we are working to foster a safe, positive and encouraging environment where athlete voices are heard.”
