Speaking in defense of President Trump, actor Jon Voight lashed at the President’s critics saying that racism had been solved long ago.
Taking to twitter in a video message the 80-year-old actor defended the President saying that he is not a racist but a man who loves his country.
“My fellow Americans, too many are angered at the words of racism,” Voight said Sunday in a video titled “Jon Voight’s Message for America.”
He further said that although it had been a big issue for the black people but for the sake of peace and love our forefathers had solved it long ago.
The star went on to say that the leftists and the minorities have been angered and they are holding President Trump responsible for all the past lives. The “Midnight Cowboy”actor went on to say,” You see, we have been gifted with truth and, as I see it, anger is among the old chains that were binding to the people of slavery, old wounds that still seem fresh.
After this Trump’s die-hard supporter talked about the Holocaust.
“Let me talk about old wounds: the Holocaust. That, my friends, are wounds that live among the Jewish and non-Jewish that lost lives,” he said. “But this is not about color, race, religion. This is the United States of America, a nation built on trust and liberty.”
Voight’s address came just after the two incidents of mass shootings that occurred over the week-end which the President had termed as ” domestic terrorism”. After these shootings Trump was criticized on those controversial remarks that he made about the immigrants.
According to the authorities an anti-immigrant manifesto has been posted on the web-site 8chan by the suspected gunman who killed 22 people in the shoot-out in El Paso, Texas.
