A brushfire passing through a grassy area near an airport in southwestern Florida will alert more than 3,500.
The dark black smoke could be seen from twenty miles away the cause of the fire has not been determined, officials said but it is likely that the fire was recorded by dry conditions and heat.
The fire took place in another flu parking area for rental cars at the Southwestern Florida International Airport near Fort Myers in the county. According to the United States Drought Monitor, the county and the peninsular island are experiencing mostly drought conditions.
According to the Florida Service, about 65 forest fires were still active in the state until Sunday morning and every count in the state moderate or high risk.
Florida has a normal dry season from October to May, but this year has been colder than usual due to low rainfall and high temperatures.
The Florida Fire Service said fire Friday night contained 95% but the crews would be available Saturday.
