SACRAMENTO, Calif – Luka Doncic had 25 points, 15 rebounds and a career- top 17 helpers for his NBA-leading 12th triple-double, and the Dallas Mavericks held off a late run to beat the Sacramento Kings 127-123 Wednesday night.

Seth Curry second 21 points off the bench as Dallas won its third straight despite the absence of Kristaps Porzingis, who missed his ninth consecutive game. Dwight Powell added 17 points and nine rebounds, and Tim Hard away  Jr. scored 18.

De’Aaron Fox had 27 points and 12 helpers for Sacramento. Harrison Barnes and Buddy Hied scored 25 apiece.

Who played his second half from behind after a 27-point victory over Golden State, scored four of his third straight losses, the Mavericks scoring 71 points in the first half and handed the Kings their straight loss.

Doncic Sparked Dallas flashed a big third quarter when it had eleven points and six healthy rebounds. This helped the Mavs stretch increase the lead by four points to 108-93. It was Doncic’s 20th career triple-double.

Sacramento beat Dallas 110-106 in December without Fox or Marvin Bagley III. Both were in the lineup this time, but the outcome was vastly different.

The Kings trailed by 16 early in the fourth but made a big run to get to 126-123 following a 3-pointer by Barnes. Curry, who missed one of two free throws, moments ago rebuilt one of the two then the Fox lost three to finish the game.

Before half-time, the Doncic had almost double-double but it was the Curry who gave Dallas his biggest lift in the first half. Curry scored 3s, in four overs and scored 16 points in 14 minutes to give Mavs a try.

Mavericks: Former Kings player Justin Jackson a buzzer finished third after defeating three, Porzingis resumed after being in the real lineup, although, no reason was given prior to this game. Porzingis has been sidelined with right knee soreness.

Kings: Fox was whistled for technicality after being hit by the aggressive waste in the third quarter. Bagley started at center for the first time this season. Part of that is the result of Richaun Holmes out due to a right shoulder injury. Holmes lost its fourth straight game and will be re-reviewed in two to three weeks. Bagley had 12 points and seven rebounds. … Bogdan Bogdanovic (right ankle soreness) did not play.
